WM Capture

There are situations in which you need to capture your desktop and save it as a video file. For example, you want to create a software tutorial and show it to other people, so they can learn how to use a specific application. Or you want to show a program strange behavior to its producer, so he can fix the issue. Unfortunately, Windows doesn't include an application for capturing your desktop as a video file, so the solution would be to install an additional application for this purpose.

You could just turn to WM Capture, which is a simple Windows application which allows you to capture a specific area of your desktop or the entire screen and save it in a wide range of video formats, together with sound. After installing and running the software, the user will be presented with a blue and graphical interface, in which all the controls are optimally placed, easy to reach.

In order to start the capturing process, you just need to click on the Record button. Optionally, you can navigate to the Settings window, in which you can customize all the parameters regarding the capturing process and also regarding the program's behavior. As such, you are able to adjust the video and audio codec and quality settings, bit-rate, frames per second and also set the maximum file size for the recording.

Having all these settings configured, you can begin the capturing process. You can either capture the entire desktop or a specific area, which can be freely defined on your screen. What's more, the program can get the audio from various applications, line-in port or even the microphone and can include the audio into the captured video.
